Conditions of Booking at Pennycroft Guest House

Arrival-Check Out Times
Guests are welcomed before 12pm or after 4.00pm on the day of arrival and are requested to vacate their rooms by 11.00am on the day of arrival. These times can sometimes be flexible, and if an earlier or later check in/out is required, we will make every effort to accommodate. Charges may apply. Rooms are guaranteed from 4.00pm.
Deposits.
All accommodation is offered subject to availability at the time of receipt of deposit. We ask for a £40 per room deposit to confirm any booking (£60 for family room) this deposit secures the room and is non-refundable. Cheques made payable to L.Sowden.
Cancellations
Please note that whilst we make every effort to re-let accommodation cancelled, when a booking is cancelled within 7 days of the due date of arrival, the balance of the monies owed will become payable, unless we are able to re-let the room .We strongly advise guests to take out travel insurance in case of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances. Group bookings (x2 or more rooms) Cancellation Policy is 14 days.
Payments
Payments is by cash or cheque only, we do not accept credit cards, but reserve the right to pre-authorize credit cards to confirm bookings prior to arrival and in the event of last minute cancellations and ‘no-show’
Lost Property
We have a minimum handling charge of £5.50 for returning guests property, plus postal charges. If property is not claimed we hold the property for a period of 14 days .it will then be passed onto a local charity shop.
Damages& Breakages
We ask that guests do not cook their own food in our kitchen. Any damage or spillage or use of our food will be charged for. We reserve the right to charge for breakages and/or damages to Pennycroft Guest House, against the credit card held for payment. Persons making the booking will be held responsible for any damage.
Parking
We have parking in front of the house on a first come basis and can not guarantee parking. Parking is at owner’s risk- both car and contents
Smoking
Regrettably, anyone who has been found to be smoking indoors will be asked to leave and be liable to a cleaning charge of up to £100.
Disabled Guests
We are committed to doing all we can to accommodate less able visitors and those with special requirements. If you have any specific needs we will be very happy to discuss these with you. Please contact us for our Access Statement.
